The Story
DistantHoller is the electronic project of Stefan Alforn, built from a long-standing love of electronic music. Shaped by the 1980s and the pull of Depeche Mode, New Order, Kraftwerk, and others like them, it carries that early sense of melody and atmosphere into something quieter and more personal.
The project comes out of Sweden, where warm summers give way to long, harsh winters. That contrast sits in the music: light against cold, movement against stillness. DistantHoller sounds almost offhand, blending dance rhythms with ambient, melancholic melodies that linger after the beat has gone.
